Annie received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2001, graduating with Faculty Awards. She received her Master of Architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design in 2007, graduating with Distinction on her thesis work and with a Dean’s Letter of Commendation.
Among her experience, Annie worked with the Pritzker Prize laureate Richard Meier. She was involved in the design of a range of notable projects including the Frieder Burda Art Museum in Germany, the Yale University Arts Library in Connecticut, and City Tower in the Czech Republic (Prague’s tallest building at the time, and second tallest currently).
Annie also worked at the New York office of Foster + Partners working on several large-scale projects. As co-head with Torsten, she was instrumental in the planning, shell, and core designs of 50 United Nations Plaza, a luxury 300,000sf, 45-story ground-up residential tower by Zeckendorf Development.
Annie was later selected to be part of the prestigious team working on the design of Apple’s new headquarters in Cupertino, California with direction from the late Steve Jobs.
She co-founded Haute Architecture D.P.C. with Torsten. The practice specializes in highly bespoke architecture and interior design in the Metropolitan NY area.
Her and the firm’s work have been published in numerous books and magazines including the award-winning New York Magazine. Their work was featured on Open House NYC and in Architectural Digest Online. Annie was a recipient of the 2015 50 Outstanding Asian Americans in Business Award.
Annie Lo is a Registered Architect in the State of New York.
