She received her Bachelor of Architecture from Hongik University, Seoul, Korea, graduating with Summa cum laude.

Jeong studied Advanced Architectural Design at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation where she received her Master of Science.

She worked as a co-head designer at MP_ART Architects after graduation, leading various experimental projects with artists including the Goma Art Center, the Timeless Music Park, and the Water Garden in Korea. Jeong worked at Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates where her team had several award-winning projects in the United States and Asia including Centra Metropark in NJ (LEED Platinum certified), Reology Headquarters in NJ (LEED Gold certified), and Songdo XI Harborview in Korea. She was responsible for the coordination of the design development phase while working on the two hotel towers in the project MGM Cotai Macau. She has been able to experience ranging from the feasibility phase to the construction administration phase including various methods of production and coordination with the various consultants at KPF.
