Pooneh received her Bachelor of Architecture from Azad University in Tehran Iran. She received her Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.

Among her experience, she worked for the New York office of Gensler for 5 years as Associate and Design Manager. Pooneh has led teams from design to construction documentation on various project scales from large-scale mixed-use to boutique residential projects and has been involved in projects both in the United States and internationally.

Her collaborations with prominent Iranian firms have been published in numerous architectural magazines and awarded for design excellence. She has been involved in various architectural competitions and was the recipient of an honorary mention for Emerging New York Architects in 2012.
